Living Active
Living Active is a project to engage with people with learning disabilities and autism. We aim to improve health & fitness with sports and physical activities. Engagement in Living Active will improve mental and physical health, will promote social interaction, and help with increasing confidence. It will help to build social groups and encourage the people we work with to make friends with similar interests.
Our Living Active Co-ordinator will set up and run a wide range of groups focused on sports and physical activities that are tailored to our member’s needs. The co-ordinator will engage with members of our Living Well project first and then they will also focus on outreach around the local community to engage with and encourage participation amongst the target groups.
We will access the Belvedere Community Centre sports hall, enabling us to both increase the range of sports and activities covered.
