Re-Instate’s Employment Service supports local people to find, prepare for and retain employment throughout the London Borough of Bexley. At Re-Instate, we understand that work is a key part of maintaining mental well-being, and that sometimes we all need some support to help us reach our work goals.
The Employment Service is a key part of Bexley’s Recovery and Well-being Service, run in partnership with Mind in Bexley. Referrals into the Employment Service can be made from your GP, health/social care professional, Oxleas or IAPT to our partners, Mind in Bexley.
The team at Mind will advise about the wide range of services available to clients to support recovery, well-being and benefits support. If it’s Employment Support you need, Re-Instate can get involved.

Our clients are on a journey to recovery. At Re-Instate we work closely with every individual to support their journey through work and work related activities.
The support on offer is tailored to the individual, but can include:
➽ A vocational profile – which maps out an individual’s skills and work goals. This is completed with one of Re-Instate’s experienced Employment Development Co-ordinators or Job Retention Specialists, and forms the basis of a personal development plan.
➽ Supported work experience and taster days – Re-Instate works with a wide range of local and national business partners to offer short and longer term work placements and paid employment opportunities to match clients work aspirations, including offices, schools, shops, warehouses and charities.
➽ Supported volunteering opportunities.
➽ Training , learning and development opportunities with partner providers including courses in key skills, IT, starting a business, marketing, bookkeeping, time management, self-management of long-term health conditions and personal development.
➽ Job searching and job club
➽ Support in accessing grants and funding including the governments Access to Work Scheme
➽ Support with interview preparation
➽ Support whilst in employment
➽ Job retention for people already in employment who need support and advice to stay in employment
Re-Instate are using the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within the Employment Service, focused on accessing and retaining competitive employment, and ensuring both the client and employer are supported to ensure a successful outcome.
Re-Instate is working in partnership with Mind in Bexley and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to provide a Recovery and Well-being Service to people in the London Borough of Bexley experiencing mental ill-health. The service is funded by Bexley Council and Bexley Clinical Commissioning Group.
Re-Instate offers a free employment service to organisations and businesses. The service offers a work ready, motivated pool of employees is completely free – there are no finders or agency fees.
Re-Instate can work as closely as is required to ensure the best outcome for both the employer and the client. This can include:
➽ Access to an untapped, talented, diverse and enthusiastic workforce
➽ Full/part-time/voluntary placements and work trial options
➽ Support with Access to Work and advice on workplace reasonable adjustments
➽ Support with disability and equality training
➽ A bespoke advisory service for employers

Re-Instate are running a series of employability workshops via Zoom during lockdown. These cover a variety of subjects supporting client development, helping people to reach their work goals. These workshops can be accessed through Mind in Bexley’s Recovery College, and a weekly update will be posted by Re-Instate on it’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
Workshops act as a stepping-stone enabling individuals to gain access to further education in the local community, supporting both life-long learning and the development of social networks.
Re-Instate’s popular IT4Work programme has been suspended during the current lockdown. Further information will be posted as we get it.
